About the opportunity

Were on the search for a creative and game changing marketer who is looking for an opportunity to drive real change and passionately lead and develop a team of talented marketers. This will be to cover a period of MAT leave of 12 months.

Reporting to the GM Marketing, the Brand Marketing Manager is responsible for designing, launching and maintaining a portfolio of instantly recognised and distinctive brands under the BP Helios (including BP Ultimate, Wild Bean Café, BPMe and Couchfood). Youll also inspire, coach and lead a team of talented marketing professionals and be the face of BP to our external marketing partners and internal global colleagues.

  • Develop, drive and implement the brand marketing strategy
  • Successfully balance the pressure between long term value and short term delivery
  • Challenge the status quo with intensity and intent
  • Ensure the successful delivery of our core marketing offer
  • Manage and ensure an optimal product slate for retail fuels and shop, including new product launches
  • Collaborate and manage multiple external agency partners
  • Create distinctive brands through best in class campaigns, PR, social, sponsorship and events
  • Act as the key point of contact for channels of trade, external stakeholders, international centres of expertise and future partners

About you

To be successful in the role, you will deep knowledge of consumer behaviour, experience in retail and, most importantly, enthusiasm and bags of energy. Youll also be an inspiring and decisive leader who is comfortable in the digital world and knows how to deliver a compelling offer to the millions of customers that shop at BP every year.

Youll have:
  • Significant marketing experience with deep exposure to strategy development and implementation as well as product management
  • Previous personal accountability for commercial outcomes
  • Experience in leading a team and creating a performance culture through developing and inspiring others
  • Demonstrated ability to influence a strategic agenda across an organisation and achieve cut through and impact
  • Effective and purposeful networking skills that you use to create opportunity
  • Experience in retail and a range of consumer oriented roles (desirable)
  • A tertiary qualification in marketing, commerce, business or a related discipline
