My client a large international organistation with offices worldwide are currently in the market for a Senior Geomatics Analyst on staff basis to work out of their offices in Aberdeen. My client are ideally looking for a candidate who is proficient in AutoCAD, and has experience with Survey Sensor Calibrations, Survey Software Products and Survey Data Processing.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: •Processing of hydrographic survey data including digital terrain data and pipeline inspection data •Video review and eventing •Creation charts and drawings, data visualisation and interpretation •Review, quantify and report on standards of survey data processed offshore •Prepare, review, quality control and final preparation of survey reports •Preparation of documentation such as procedures, guidelines and manuals •Provide support to field-staff through addressing of technical queries and analysis of acquired datasets •Interface and liaise with projects and manage work against scheduled deadlines •Mentor Geomatic Associates
Qualifications and Education General Education: Educated to Higher level or equivalent is essential Qualifications in science, geography, graphic communication, and mathematics are desirable Specified Qualifications for position: Degree in a surveying or geoscience subject is desirable Continuing Professional Development: Evidence of CPD is desirable.
Skills Technical (including IT): Good computer skills and understanding of data formats is essential Ability to use software packages Word, Excel and AutoCAD is essential. Interpersonal: Communication and listening skills essential. A team player is essential. Problem solving skills are desirable. Self Management: Self motivated individual is essential. Organised and professional approach to work is desirable.
Experience Experience: Survey Data Processing, charting, AutoCAD skills are essential Exposure to a variety of data processing applications such as Eiva, VisualWorks, Fledermaus, QPS etc is desirable.
