Job Description
Due to continued expansion, Aker Solutions’ Drilling Technologies business in Aberdeen invite applications for s Workshop Technician on a Staff Basis. The role is based at the Workshop in Dyce.

This is a mechanical/hydraulic role and applicants should be qualified to a minimum HNC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent.

Responsibilities & Tasks: Objectives / Scope

• Responsible for repair, overhaul and assembly tasks with regard to Aker MH UK products

Main Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of repair and overhaul work on Aker MH and non Aker MH equipment
• Attend meetings and training courses as required
• Ensure timesheets and inspections reports are completely accurately and submitted in a timely manner
• Contribute to risk assessments and tool box talks
• Take leadership responsibility for contractors and visitors within the workshop
• Travel to customer sites, either onshore or offshore, as and when required
• Suggest improvements to working practices and MH product lines
• Carry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT’s) to MH standards
• Carry out QC checks at Goods In point as and when required
• Adhere to all company quality related policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Be able to operate the forklifts, cranes and vertical lift platforms when trained to do so

Qualifications / Personal Attributes: • Recognised mechanical qualification to HNC/NVQ level 3 standard
• Knowledge of hydraulics
