Payroll/Timecard Coordinator IRES - COS in Colorado-Colorado Springs, United States

Description of Duties:

  

The Payroll/Timecard Coordinator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

  

  
  • Performs payroll and administrative duties to support weekly timecard processing.

  • Monitors timecard entries for compliance with timecard policies and procedures.

  • Provides timecard training for new hires; provides refresher and annual training as necessary.

  • Ensures timecards are submitted error free by established deadlines.

  • Works with employees, teammates, and timecard approvers to resolve timecard errors.

  • Researches, analyzes and resolves payroll/timekeeping issues; produces reports as required.

  • Back up for travel authorization and expense report processing (CONUS and OCONUS).

              

  

This position will be filled in Colorado Springs, CO.

Basic Requirements:

  

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 4 years of general experience; Associates degree and 2 years of general experience; Bachelors degree, or higher, and 0 years of general experience.

  

  
  • Must have at least 2 years of directly related experience

  • General understanding of standard accounting principals

  • Basic understanding of timekeeping and payroll concepts

  • Experience performing data analysis using spreadsheets and relational data base programs

  • Experience using Microsoft Office application suite; intermediate knowledge and use of MS Excel and pivot tables

  • Must be able to obtain Secret clearance

            

Desired Requirements:

  
  • Understanding of Government Contracting accounting practices

  • Understanding of Joint Travel Regulations (JTR)

  • Working knowledge of JAMIS Accounting software

  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft software
