HSSE Training Advisor in KZ-Karabatan, Kazakhstan

Wood (trading locally as QED International) is currently looking for HSSE Training Advisor to join our client NCOC in Atyrau:

  • Develop HSSE Training Matrixes and agree with all interested parties
  • Participate and develop HSSE Training Needs Analysis for various work locations
  • Preparation of training schedules, and maintaining accurate Database Records. Fully cooperate to ensure the effective filing of all hard copy records in such a way as they can be made readily available for Audit Purposes.
  • Conduct assessments for training course providers for both facility and instructional staff to ensure requirements of the Company Terms of Reference are achieved
  • Assure External Training Providers meet Company requirements on delivery of HSSE Trainings
  • Conduct adhoc and regular checks of External training providers
  • Support ranking procedure for Training Providers and its Instructors
  • Work with Company personnel to amend and develop training course terms of reference, training course specifications and course materials
  • Development of, and subsequently delivery of critical HSSE courses, ensuring compliance with RoK Laws and Company Policies and Procedures
  • Be prepared to assist with the running of the company inductions, and carryout the necessary checking of test papers and other required records, in an accurate and timely manner
  • Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by Line Manager that are related to this job
  • Work closely alongside the HSSE Training Team Lead, in order to further develop, knowledge, skills and competency, and where required
  • Support Senior HSE Training Engineer in his daily duties
  • Provide assistance and support to associated departments on matters relating to HSE
  • Be responsible for the Health, Safety and Welfare of all course attendees, and ensure accurate completion of various records and competency assessments (Exams, tests, etc)
  • Participate in emergency response drills, ensuring all course attendees are escorted to and accounted for at the Muster Point(s)
  • Maintain and ensure the safe storage of training equipment
  • Support the collation and reporting of statistical data, in an accurate and timely manner, and ensure all Incidents, which may occur during the running of course, are reported immediately, to line management
  • At all times, set a high standard of professional and social behavior, and lead by example so far as following company standards and norms
  • Quickly gain the knowledge and skills to apply the Company Policies, Strategies and Objectives
  • Provide full support to implement the Company HSSE culture program, along with associated training and coaching programs, in line with the Company expectations set by senior management
  • Promote Company Health & Safety Golden Rules
  • Resolve arised issues and develop with line manager remedial action plan
  • Ensures all tasks given by HSSE Training Team Lead implemented and provides further feedback on the progress
  • Demonstrate critical thinking capacity, rigorous application of structured problem solving, methods, tenacity
  • BBS intervention and coaching including reporting
  • Effectively influence people at all levels of company (work floor up to managerial level)
  • Reinforce and Promote Goal Zero and Golden Rules compliance in the field
  • Show personal engagement and commitment to improve current HSSE performance


Skills / Qualifications

  • University degree, preferably in technical area
  • The job holder must have 3 years experience in supporting HSSE training process
