As contract manager you will have overall responsibility of ensuring that all installation and Maintenance activities are carried out safely with the correct resource levels and budget. You will be responsible for multiple projects at various stages of delivery at any one time throughout the Southern region. In addition, you will also be responsible for ensuring that works are implemented to the customer specification, within service level agreements and ensuring that customers are satisfied with all works and manage any feedback as required. You will also be responsible for the business delivery, in particular Sales, Margin and Utilisation of staff and have full responsibility for the team including support and HR management tasks. You will need to be a problem solver with the ability to communicate at all levels and have the ability to lead and motivate a team with a flexible approach.

Previous experience in a similar role maintenance or installation role is preferred however we will provide training to the right candidate.

What are your responsibilities?

  • Making sure margins against specific contracts are met
  • Line management responsibilities of the team through performance management
  • Liaising with and managing the subcontractors to include contract negotiation and performance review
  • Building relationships and having regular contact / review meetings with key customers to identify business levels within the area

What do you need to qualify for the role?

•       Good understanding of Health, Safety and environment legislation/procedures

•       Management or supervisory experience in a technical position, specifically knowledge of electrical maintenance and installation procedures/practices advantage

•       Contract/Commercial knowledge

•       Good knowledge of IT systems/software.

•       Excellent communication skills both written and oral

•       Excellent organisation/planning skills.

•       Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques

•       Basic understanding of project management principles
