Senior Finance Manager in Houston, TX, United States

Wood is currently seeking a Senior Finance Manager for our Houston, Texas office. 

This role is responsible for providing leadership, planning, change management and implementation/ execution of entity simplification in the West and specifically business liaison on the migration of the AFW E&IS business to Oracle. 

The role reports to the F&A Integration director and the role is responsible for and reports program performance to the steering committee on a monthly basis.  

The Entity Simplification programme integrates legal entities within a jurisdiction creating both external (cross-selling) and internal (simplicity, efficiency and scalability) gains to the organisation.

The Senior Finance Manager acts as a business partner to the operational and functional leadership teams in an enabling and facilitating capacity, providing liaison between all interested parties and developing practical solutions to integration. The role requires a strategic mind-set with the appropriate leadership impact to implement the chosen blueprint for Entity Simplification and the migration to Oracle.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Understand the business being integrated and develop with the business the optimal new legal entity structure and reporting structure
  • Responsible for coordination and management of program budget & gain
  • Ensure that project team is aligned with business function strategy
  • Key point of contact for all aspects of interaction between business personnel with the SBUs, Service Center functions and the project team.
  • Work with the business to develop the financial organization, roles & responsibilities post integration
  • Support the Business Workstream leads on the project team to ensure delivery of key milestones against project plan
  • Work with the business, project team & P&O to ensure business readiness at go live
  • Co-ordinate and facilitate discussions and resolution of escalated issues and concerns raised from Business resources throughout all phases of the project
  • Interaction with all Business Process Owners, attending all workstream recurring meetings and ensuring open and clear communication between the Project team and the business.
  • Interaction with Business sponsors to ensure clear and ongoing communication
  • Manage key stakeholders and ensure functional relationships are maintained
  • Support the project team and all aspects of the project plan. This includes change management activities, training, communications, recognizing benefits, dealing with issues raised by business resources
  • Develop and support specific plans to mitigate or address risks and concerns
  • Stakeholder management across a number of different levels and global locations
  • Understand impacts and dependencies across the organization and ensure plan is in place to ensure smooth transition
  • Develop plans with the business to close out financial activity of entities merged to deliver cost savings
  • Drive standard processes and procedures across all West business units.
  • Lead by personal example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with all applicable laws and the Groups standards and policies.
