JOB PURPOSE

To support the Management Information reporting across GBS. The role is key in building and strengthening a PowerBI & SAP Analytics Cloud visualiation community within GBS, supporting the build of relevant capability within the P&C team, ensuring that the potential value in the creation of compelling, clear and powerful visualisation of our data across GBS is realised through the successful management and implementation of various BI/Data visualisation projects, developments and identification of continuous improvement initiatives.
It is expected from the role holder to deliver long term strategic thinking around the business intelligence / data visualisation framework, but at the same time providing response to short-term pain-points / business needs which require data visualisation driven insight, to allow a better understanding of data as well as past and future performance.

The role holder also responsible for the GBS core Master Data and own technical maintenance of OB&C group reporting tools used by GBS P&C ( Aurora, SAP analytics). As the owner of the variousreporting tools, the job holder also responsible to provide continiuos trainings and support within GBS.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and Maintaining the PowerBI & SAP Analytics Cloud dashboards
  • Support the creation of compelling, clear and powerful visualisation of our data across GBS according to the requirements of different level stakeholders, both for internal and for external usage
  • Playing a key role in building and strengthening a PowerBI & SAP Analytics Cloud community within GBS, supporting the build of relevant capability of the team(s).
  • Be able to define requirements, analyze and profile data, design solutions, program, test, implement, and train the end-users and internal/external developers.
  • Tactical improvements to promote self-service dashboard utilisation of key stakeholders;
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining various MI/visualisation projects, tools and dashboards. Cooperate, coordinate and work with various levels of stakeholders from performance analyst level to senior management to understand and document requirements; translate these to build the necessary technical design documents to ensure development efforts provide business value and comply with architecture and design standards act as a bridge between business users and IT/developers/contractors.
  • Own the technical maintenance of GBS planning & reporting tools such as Aurora and SAP Analytics Cloud. Provide support and training for other users.
  • Identifying continuous improvement areas and automation opportunities building on high level technical expertise (e.g. PowerBI dashboard development, understanding of various systems and tools including DAX language and SQL)
  • Technical coordination of projects, managing end to end developments and issue resolution, liaising with both internal stakeholders and external consultants/developers.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA/EXPERTISE
  • Absolute fluency in business English is mandatory.
  • A good understanding and use of MI tools (eg SAP BW, BIGS BO) and the underlying IT&S system (preferably SAP)
  • Experience of reporting and MI processes (actuals, RF & plan) with a focus on performance analysis and intervention
  • Able to analyse and summarise complex information and prepared to drive performance improvements together with the business
  • Ability to quickly assess areas requiring attention and/or intervention, with a strong demonstration of business partnering to drive business performance.
  • Focuses effort and prioritises work to deliver business value; must be self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation.
  • Looks for ways to do things better, faster and more efficiently.
  • Builds networks to enhance effectiveness and share knowledge a team player
