Electrical Engineer in TAM, Altamira, Mexico

Job Overview:
Progress Activities Report. Head of the discipline of electrical engineering to engineering support in the fabrication yard for the development of the activities of the different phases of the execution of a project: Bid, Design, Procurement and construction. Prepare and review all the necessary MTO's and/or Lofting for proposals and projects in course. Directs, coordinates, organizes and control over electrical discipline activities and its technical needs into Engineering Services Department. Control and approve all the documentation developed by the electrical discipline issued for each project.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Engineering analysis of the electrical design and making of workshop drawings of the electrical discipline.
  • Development of volumes and RFQs (technical scope) if this is required to quote and purchase of bulks
  • Technical Support from the electrical discipline during the construction process and acquisition of materials.
  • Supervision of the staff of engineering lofting of the electrical discipline
  • Coordinate and review the Electrical Engineering in accordance with General notes, material Specifications and vendor information to ensure that the executed work fulfills the requirements from the Project and/or Bid.
  • Review and development of Electrical Shop Drawings (Lofting).
  • Review and/or develop Electrical Material Take-Off (MTO) and Material Requisitions, into the system(s) designated for that purpose (MTO system, SPMAT, or other)
  • Give technical support to Procurement, Production, Construction and Fabrication activities as required.
  • Ensures the work is carried out to Approved for Construction, within specifications and procedures.
  • Assist Construction, PMT and/or Quality departments with the development of as-built engineering.
  • Any other duties may be assigned from time to time by the Engineering Services Manager.
  • To participate in the elaboration and development of L2 procedures according the updating of system used in MDR, such a SPMAT in the ELE discipline
  • To participate in the elaboration and development of L2 procedures according the updating of Global procedures used in MDR
Basic Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Electric, electronics, Instrumentation and Control Engineering or related field
  • 7 years of experience in electrical sys. And installations used in marine construction.
  • M/S Office Packages, Proven work experience on Electrical systems, Adobe acrobat professional and a consistent knowledge in AutoCAD
  • Software for lighting calculation and Coordination of protections is a plus. 
  • Basic Knowledge of English language.
