Technical Data Management (TDM) and Workflow (WF) team have been established to provide specialist expertise in Technical Data Management and Workflow support across the Upstream business. Having trusted technical data at our fingertips enhances business value, enabling quality decision making, effective emergency response, safe operations, regulatory compliance and is recognized as a key enabler for digitalization strategy in Shell. TDM/WF team are part of the Projects and Technology business, under P&T Development Exploration & NBD.Field Development Data Analyst is responsible for the provision of data workflow, well & seismic data, reservoir & production data to the user community. The role is to provide required metadata input, ensure data integrity and completeness and final quality control and assurance of relevant data sets. This is to ensure that the data is legitimate (latest and greatest) to avoid errors, recycle and duplication of effort, as well as maximize project quality through validation with relevant Technical Authorities. This also includes ensuring publishing of relevant technical documents as per Opportunity Realization Process (ORP) and Discipline Controls & Assurance Framework (DCAF)
Data Analyst is accountable for managing subsurface & production data in the global standard data store, primarily pressure data and well data, and also liaise with the Development Team members in project delivery and prioritization. The role will also require formulating solutions to manage an ever-changing variety of data forms provided by external service companies and software vendors.
Accountabilities include:
- Perform data loading & manipulation in software packages like Petrel, nDI, MORES, IPM, OFM, IFM and utilize inventory and query tools therein while developing an intuition for full utilization of these tools to streamline work processes.
- Provide keen attention to detail and a quality eye for subsurface & production data to successfully verify managed results for delivery of interpretation-ready data to the development team and project data stores.
- Will apply and continue to enhance standards for classifying and grouping subsurface & production data and measurement units.
- Develop a problem-solving mindset and reach out for solutions within given software packages or develop/ pursue other tools to assist with complex challenges presented with massive quantities of highly technical data.
- Develop and take ownership of the Data Delivery Model for Field Development data.
Job Requirements:
The position requires a candidate with a good grounding on Wells and Reservoir Management (WRM) with reasonable exposure in both subsurface and production data management in his/her previous role. The candidate must be able to develop databases in Oracle and an intuitive user interface. Good Exposure to Technical Data Management, Project Management, and EP16 Managing Information.Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of industry-related experience in a similar capacity as Information Manager and/or Geoscientist.
- Preferred Practical knowledge in Mores, Petrel, Eclipse and IPM, nDI
- Preference for a Geoscience educational background
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong Time Management, able to projectile deliverables.

- Fully compliant with Group Life Saving Rules.
- Accountable and proactive in delivering against targets and deadlines.
- Strong team player.
