Job description

The Global Chief Data Office (GCDO) is a new global function in PwC recognising the data driven nature of the partnership and enablement of new digital practices.

The Data Operations function within the GCDO is responsible for enhancing, supporting and sustaining master and reference data, and financial data aggregation services to meet business needs.


Reporting to the Data Operations Finance Lead, the role holder will have responsibility for specific ISO compliance as well as operational change management activities e.g updating of data submission policy and standards through to territory onboarding and monitoring of compliance.


The role may extend to support ISO compliance and operational change activities as relates to for the PMDM system (people data).

Specific responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing ISO-27001 compliance activities for Data Operations applications (GDH), including oversight of relevant Data/ R&A operational management activities, maintenance of Corrective Action Plan (CAP), leading monthly ISO touchpoint meetings, coordinating security awareness training, co-leading quarterly management review meetings and leading annual audits, working closely with IUS IT, Data Operations, R&A Operations and oversight from Governance & Alignment (G&A) team.
  • Facilitate review and sign off for network finance data submission policies, standards and practices, to support enhanced data quality to meet business needs. Lead territory onboarding and compliance monitoring, with project support if needed. G&A to support on comms and change management with relevant governance bodies.
  • Report and monitor data related issues via ServiceNow (SNoW) to support remediation of non-compliance to network finance data policies and standards working closely with Data Operations Finance Lead.
  • Prepare and publish monthly / quarterly data quality reports aimed at territory CFOs and territory finance contacts e.g. Timeliness & Re-Submissions
  • Prepare Annual Global Product Codes CV Communications to GDW Finance Contacts (and ORD Product Code Data Stewards) working alongside CV business Owner, ORD Service Manager and G&A team.
  • Oversee and maintain Data Operations Spark pages.

Role requirements

  • Experience of maintaining and / or supporting ISO-27001 compliance activities for a large global application.
  • Experience of policy and standard development and enablement
  • Experience working in a finance operations management environment
  • Knowledge of data protection, privacy, or data risk management concepts (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of data quality management, master and reference data management, and metadata management (Desirable)
  • Change-oriented and self-driven proactive behaviour.
  • Adaptable and flexible; resilient to changing priorities, ambiguity and continuous change.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and sustain effective working relationships
  • Experience working with virtual teams and diverse cultures across different time-zones.
