BP Turkey offers fantastic opportunity of GBS (Global Business Services) Customer Services Delivery Manager role. In this position you will be responsible for managing a team/multiple teams to deliver accounting and reporting and credit control services. You will need to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of accounting policy application, internal control, financial reporting, and accounting systems support and help to implement continuous improvement plans while promoting a culture of service excellence and delivery within the team. You will be providing direction to the GBS Customer department and monitoring end-to-end AR & Credit Control operations. You will manage and supervise the responsible teams for the delivery of end-to-end Fuels & Lubricants Accounts Receivable operations; including Direct Debit, cheque and cash collection activities and Credit control team to deliver ESA Credit agenda.

Key accountabilities:

  • Set team goals, positively influence his/her team members in order to achieve team goals, provide guidance and feedback; coordinate team activities, monitor & review daily operations to ensure accurate & timely transactions
  • Lead credit operations, owning and driving the credit agenda with the rest of the team and assure all credit operations are well under control
  • Establish and maintain strong and sustainable business engagement with business units and stakeholders to address business needs in line with group policies, chair the quarterly credit governance meeting including prereads
  • Deploy Credit policy and identify and resolve non-compliance topics with ESA credit manager, manage the approval process with ESA credit manager and finance manager for top cases
  • Assure the accuracy of all reports and business story (internally and externally to ESA)
  • Actively manage risky cases with follow ups and periodic checks ensuring we do not run into a situation of Blgs expiring and increasing our exposure, Contribute to PPR cashflow management and forecasts by signalling important changes in overdue
  • Actively manage and plan the CI improvements on Credit with firm timelines until completion as well as escalating on a timely basis any variances and making recommendations to solve the challenges ( Assurance around Back logs, planning of annual reviews and their scope, documenting all the approval and required information, credit alerts and necessary procedures on any improvement made)
  • Define the next level of improvement in credit management in a rapidly changing environment
  • Act as subject matter expert for AR systems and processes, provide advice and information to staff and business partners across BP
  • Lead and support internal/external audits, identify and control risk, drive incident investigation
  • Look for opportunities to improve the teams processes to create efficiencies, to propose and implement continuous improvement opportunities and control improvements with regards to general process matters, work with Leadership Team on assigned projects
  • Lead team members on technical matters. Review their performance periodically in order to build on their strengths and support their development.


Essential education:
  • University degree in Business administration or management, Accounting, Finance or other relevant discipline
  • Internationally recognized professional accreditation/qualification, e.g. SMMM

Essential experience and requirements:
  • Total of minimum 10 years of experience in credit risk management area in a bank or financial organization environment plus accounting/finance or credit department experience in a company
  • Minimum 5 years of People management experience
  • Experience in working with financial statements (e.g. income statements, balance sheets, funds flow) and commercial credit reports
  • Knowledge of credit and commercial laws
  • Stakeholder management, communication and negotiating skills
  • IT literacy
  • Advanced level of Turkish and English languages
