A Business Administrator Apprentice will be part of the Highways Team to assist in delivering a range of solutions across the spectrum of highways and transportation services. The successful individual will be working towards a Level 3 Business Admin Apprenticeship delivered via a local training provider. The apprenticeship will be 3 years in duration.
In this role, they will combine a strong attention to detail with an ability to multi-task.
Key responsibilities include: 
  • Booking meeting rooms, desks and accommodation
  • Organising Travel for colleagues including Car Hire, Train and Flight Tickets
  • Helping to organise courses/events internal and external
  • Decision and actions logging
  • Finalisation of engineering documents and reports ready for issue.
  • Supporting quality control and inputting into the quality audit process.
  • Recording of Value , Sustainability and Community contributions.
  • Ensuring we have up to date CVs and Certificates for Colleagues, sending requests to Colleagues as necessary and maintaining spreadsheets
  • Assisting with the preparation of Project Data Sheets
  • Preparing fee proposals
  • Processing invoices
  • Supporting service leads in delivery to the local Client
  • Supporting the framework management team with business development activities
  • Arranging dates with local schools with regards to organising Work Experience sessions and collating the work packs
  • Co-ordinating and supporting the teams social value activities
  • Printing, Photocopying and Binding documents 
  • Creating and updating the Framework Project Programme and Framework Resourcing Spreadsheet and sending new role specs to Discipline Leads, preparing requisition requests and providing nominations to Project Leads
  • Working with the Training Manager and Training Coordinator to ensure training records (e.g. trainee lists, sqeps, schedules, attendance sheets) are maintained.

Essential:  
     
  •   GCSE Grade A-C in Maths, English or equivalent qualification such as a Level 2 Business Admin Apprenticeship

  •   Excellent working knowledge of office applications, especially word, excel, powerpoint and outlook.
