Job Description:
Primat Recruitment a part of the AMEC Group is recruiting for a North East Office based Welding Engineer an immediate start for approximately 6 months.
You will provide extra cover within the welding service Department, providing a material selection, welding service along with general tech support for various projects.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following,
Develop where required review and approve fabrication, welding & Inspection specifications
Review; prepare engineering requirements regarding material selection on projects.
Ensure welders are qualified and their certificates are prepared and maintained in accordance with company control systems.
Review contract weld repair rates and produce on a monthly basis an analysis of total repairs for the company
You will be fully conversant with National and International specifications and with a minimum of five years experience with pipe welding within petrochemical/pipeline industry.
Qualified to a minimum of either HNC/HND level in welding Engineering or Metallurgy aMember of TWI at Incorporate level or above and/or Europe Welding Federation as either European Welding Engineering or Europe Welding Technologist.
Preferably is a certified European Welding Engineer or equivalent.
