We are looking for the following Engineers to work for one of our clients in Libya.
1. CORROSION ENGINEER
Monitoring of chemical injection dosages and injection pump status at each oil and gas wellheads, satellites and plants at least twice a week. Adjust chemical dosages as per specifications. Promptly report pumps problems to the corrosion supervisor. Troubleshoot field production problems related to corrosion, demulsification, scale, wax, asphaltene, hydrate, produced water treatment, bacteria and BS & W contents in oil and gas pipelines. Conduct chemical field trials and closely monitor the performance of the chemicals. Corrosion control strategy by utilizing weight loss corrosion coupons, E/R probes, LPR probes, sand probes, galvanic current probes and hydrogen probes in proper locations. Regular program for the installation and retrieving of the corrosion coupons to be organized by Corrosion Engineer in the site. Data collected and to be reviewed for any action required. Review daily laboratory analysis of water, and hydrocarbon to ensure that required specifications are met. Any increase in corrosion rate should be corrected by making adjustment to chemical treatment. Carry out online reading of boiler feed water, cooling water and condensate water parameters such as oxygen content, pH and conductivity on a daily basis. Monitor chemical injection dosages of desalination units, demineralized water, portable water, cooling water and boiler feed water on a daily basis. Chemical injection dosages of desalination units and Winning water should be monitored at site. In the Refinery and Oil/Gas plants, stabilizer reflux drum sample should be checked to see the presence of any water. If water condensation takes place on the overhead column, corrosion inhibitor injection should be commenced. Promptly investigate any corrosion related failure/leaks in the site and inform Corrosion Supervisor on the same day of failure. Corrosion failure investigation report along with remedial action plan should be submitted. Arrange with laboratory to carry out corrosion inhibitor residual analysis and microbiological tests (bacteria counts) on cooling water, produced water and pipeline water on a weekly basis. Any abnormal bacteria growth and presence of algae in cooling water system should be effectively controlled by proper selection of chemicals. Familiarize with technical data sheets and material safety data sheets of all the chemicals used in the plant. Safe handling of chemicals and chemical spill cleanup should be followed as per chemical supplier’s recommendations. Plant Operators handling chemicals should be trained in the proper applications and safe handling of these chemicals. Submit weekly report to corrosion supervisor outlining chemical injection dosages at all injection points, problem areas and actions required, corrosion coupon analysis results and E/R probe readings whenever available and submit corrosion related failure investigation report. Maintain an internal corrosion monitoring data base using appropriate software. Prepare annual corrosion report, which should include corrosion control activities of all the fields with recommendations for improvement in corrosion control methods to minimize the corrosion mitigation cost to the company. Provide training to local National employees in the areas of internal corrosion control. Participate and follow company’s health, safety, environment and quality control programs. The incumbent shall have a B. Sc Degree in Materials/Corrosion Engineering, with a minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry. He shall be familiar with: material selection, sour service requirements, integrity assessment (RBI and FFS) of pressure vessels, piping, tanks etc, and knowledge of applicable standards with special reference to API, ASME and NACE. He should also be familiar with internal and external protective coating selection, inspection and applicable standards.
2. METALLURGY ENGINEER
Strong understanding of the morphology of structure of metals. Provides the required functional technical support to monitor and rectify the faults or other metallurgical problems affecting all assets. Provides specialized engineering assistance and advice for activities related to all phases of welding and heat treatment. Comply with company safety rules. Selection of the inspection methods as per the company risk based inspection strategy. Define the inspection procedures include the tools, materials and certification requirements. Provide assistance to maintenance, production and project engineers for all problems related to welding and metallurgy. Implement the international welding regulation codes applied for hydrocarbon pipeline and pressure vessel during preparation of welding and repair procedures. In put for material selection. Interpretation of the NDT results. Capable to operate hardness tester and alloy analyzer instruments. Certified to carry out Dye penetrant test, Magnetic test and UT thickness measurements. Prepare/follow up the welder qualification tests and issue certificates accordingly.
3. PIPELINE INTEGRITY ENGINEER
The Pipeline Integrity Engineer requires engineering experience including: Leading pipeline integrity efforts and programs for assigned pipeline systems. Implementing the written Integrity Management Programs; as well as the standards and procedures to support the IMP for all pipeline assets. Identifying additional preventive and mitigative measures, determining the re-assessment interval and re-assessment methods through participation in Informational Analysis processes. Providing Engineering support for Pipeline Integrity Projects including welding calculations, material selections, Cathodic Protection Systems, determination of required hydrostatic test pressures, MOP/MAOP calculations, calculation of set points for pumps, compressors and other pressure control devices such as safety valves to ensure MOP/MAOP is not exceeded, evaluation of defects and recommend appropriate repairs. Evaluating Integrity Assessment Results to determine need for temporary pressure reductions and the need for repairs and repair method. Initiating and tracking temporary pressure reductions associated with Pipeline Integrity Activities. Providing input to new construction pipelines and due diligence to support Pipeline Integrity efforts. Incorporating newly operated assets into the IMP. Complete performance measure. Providing input to annual budget. Staying current with the pipeline regulations, industry standards, integrity assessment methods, repair methods, etc. Qualifications : The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: Bachelors degree in engineering is required (preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Metallurgy). Experience in pipeline design, operations, and maintenance, a detailed understanding of pipeline defect evaluations and repair. Technical knowledge and work experience in pipeline risk management and analysis. Excellent communications skills and computer skills including use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Working knowledge of the various Federal and State pipeline regulations including Integrity Management regulations. Professional Engineering registration and NACE certification are desired. Minimum of 10 years experience in pipeline engineering or equivalent. Continuous interaction with other departments within the company; including Pipeline Operations, Pipeline Control, and Commercial. Continuous interaction with vendors. Provide engineering guidance to vendors performing work on the assigned pipeline.

The Barbados National Oil Company Limited (BNOCL) is a state- owned entity whose core responsibility is oil and gas exploration and production onshore Barbados in an area of 16,438 acres (6,652.2 hectares).  Its subsidiary Barbados National Oilfield Services Limited (BNOSL) acts as the Operator for oil and gas production in the oilfields.  The Barbados National Terminal Limited (BNTCL), another subsidiary, is responsible for the receipt, storage and distribution of gasoline, diesel, fuel oil and jet fuel in Barbados.  Given the scope of the operations of this group of companies, BNOCL is considered a fully integrated national oil company operating within the upstream and downstream sectors and employs 129 individuals.  
BNOCL is seeking an apt consulting firm to guide the company and its subsidiaries towards the successful implementation ISO certifications 14001, 9001, 29001 and 17025 and OHSAS 18001 within its IMS programme.  This programme should enable centralised document control, consistent processes and reduce duplication in both time and effort in achieving common elements among the certifications and in so doing truly realise the cost savings of this approach.
The consultant is expected to deliver the following:
Inception Report including the first findings from the organisation assessment, the progress in collecting data, the encountered and/or foreseen difficulties in addition to the work programme for implementing the IMS and staff mobilisation.
Identifying, recommending and/or providing training to the HSSEQ personnel in ISO methodologies
Coaching the HSSEQ personnel throughout the implementation process
Provide guidance on improving the HSSEQ Policy
Provide oversight and guidance in the development of IMS Manuals comprising specific written policies, procedures and all other requirements to meet ISO certifications 9001, 14001, 17025 and OHSAS 18001.
Audit of BNOCL and its subsidiaries outlining processes and procedures, how they are currently executed, associated risks and hazards, and any changes that need to be made to successfully meet the ISO standards.
Periodically checking the performance of the IMS
Providing guidance in the preparation of the organisation for registration
Conducting a training needs analysis of all staff
Monthly progress reports, which should include an updated programme in a Gantt chart, during the first year and quarterly reports thereafter.  These should be submitted on the 1st of every month during the first year of implementation and quarterly thereafter on the 1st of that month.  
Final report summarising the policies, procedures, documentation and received qualifications.  A draft of this report should be submitted to the General Manager 1 month before the implementation end and the final submitted 14 days after the reception of the comments on the draft final report. 
Submit all reports to the General Manager and copy to the Quality and Environment Officer.
The intended commencement date is 31st October, 2010.  BNOCL therefore invites consulting firms to submit detailed proposals by 30th September, 2010 for the implementation of an IMS for ISO 9001, 14001, 17025 and OHSAS 18001.

The company has the Contract providing Engineering and Construction Services, for the major offshore fields, with AIOC, a JV Company BP and the Azerbaijan State Oil Company. BP administer the Contract for AIOC and are the companies Client. The fields include Chirag, Deep Water Guneshli, Azeri and Shah Deniz asset groups. These BP Caspian fields produce around 1 million barrels of oil a day and Shah Deniz provides gas to Azerbaijan and Turkey. The oil is exported through the BTC pipeline to Turkey. The business is set to expand with further new platforms under design 2008/9.

 

The Contract is based in a very modern office block – Landmark III, and houses both companies and BP’s Project Teams. The client has around 250 employees involved in this Project with approximately one third ExPats, and two thirds Azeris. The Landmark III office block is located about a 10 minute walk from the city centre and close to the Boulevard and Caspian Sea. It is part of the Landmark complex which includes the British Embassy, and has restaurants and banking facilites. A gymnasium and fitness pool are being fitted out in an upper floor of the office block. In the surrounding area are a variety of shops and restaurants.
