Job Description:
One of the world's largest energy companies, providing its customers with fuel for transportation, energy for heat and light, retail services and petrochemicals products for everyday items currently has a vacancy for a Materials & Welding Technical Authority to be based in London on a long term contract. Responsible for the delivery and assurance of material selection and welding compliance throughout the design, procurement and construction phases of the project. This will be undertaken in accordance with the clients Integrity Management Standard (IMS) and the Major Projects Common Process (MPcp). The role will include the incorporation of client and industry best practice and liaison with the client's SPU TAs. Candidates for this role will be expected to posses extensive experience in the execution of major projects in the upstream segment onoffshore oil facilities. Experience of working with engineering contractors. Experience of working with the client and deep knowledge of ETPs, MPcp and IMS Detailed knowledge and application of regulatory requirements, industry codes and standards. Strong personal commitment to Health, Safety & Environmental Performance. The successful candidate will be a good communicator, able to work effectively within an integrated team of client and contractor personnel. Ability to work proactively with minimum day to day supervision.
