Product Marketing Manager- Instrumentation Analyzers
Exciting permanent opportunity for a Product Marketing Manager in Richmond California! Must have experience with Instrumentation Process Analyzers.
Swift Oil and Gas is the leading supplier of manpower to the global Oil and Gas industry. Our client is in need of a Product Marketing Manager to work in their California office.
Summary
Responsible for developing strategies to increase Division sales and profits in the Instrumentation Process Analyzer (IPA) markets while providing premier customer service to the customers, distributors and field sales people. The strategies include new product development, competitor and market analysis, training, managing target account programs, strategic pricing in cooperation with Pricing Manager, and target account development. Use expertise in the Oil & Gas, Analytical or Chemical Process industries to assist distributors and field sales in growth of division sales. Develop marketing programs and materials focused on expanding our product markets. Product and present training programs to distributors and field sales.
Responsibilities
- Lead “Voice of the Customer” interviews to determine unmet needs and translate them into new products/solutions. Make recommendations and evaluations on new product opportunities.
- Lead new product development teams and provide clear product definitions to teams.
- Develop specific market and customer strategies in cooperation with field sales.
- Manage, develop, and track key accounts to achieve growth and profit targets.
- Conduct product, sales and market training for field sales, distributors, and customers.
- Develop product literature and marketing materials.
- Assist in developing advertising and promotional programs.
- Attend sales conferences, trade shows, as required. Manage marketing materials such as displays and literature for trade shows and tech tour.
- Establish programs and procedures to assist field sales achieving profitable volume.
- Support field sales with information regarding pricing, sales and customer policies, monitor complaints.
- Conduct periodic market evaluations.
- Conduct competitive analysis of product lines.
- Accompany and assist field sales as required.
- Maintain records up-to-date, by customer, for ready retrieval.
- Facilitate exchange of information between engineering and field sales management.
- Assist in the developing pricing strategies.
- Assist in the developing product and positioning strategies.
Job Requirements
- 4 year college degree, preferably in Engineering, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 5 years related experience working with gas or liquid flow control products, ideally in the oil & gas, analytical, or chemical process industries
- Demonstrated experience leading project teams with strong project management skills.
- Strong computer skills (Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office Applications)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
