Minimum 15 years practical fire fighting experience as a professional fire fighter within an oil and gas production facility |
|
Formally trained in fire fighting to an internationally recognised standard, NFPA or equivalent |
|
Hold an internationally recognised qualification, i,e, Degree, Diploma or member/graduate of the Institute of Fire Engineers or similar |
|
Minimum 5 years practical experience as a professional Fire supervisor, Fire Team leader or Fire Officer within an oil and gas production facility |
|
Experienced in aviation fire fighting |
|
Valid international driving licence |
|
Excellent standard of both spoken and written English |
|
Physically fit to carry out all duties associated with the jobs activities |

Job Overview |
|
Acting as fire team leader when responding to incidents; Delegating/Supervising daily work routine/non routine activities to fire personnel to ensure non emergency daily work commitments are completed to the standard set by Client and within the given time frame |
|
Ensuring Inspection , testing and preventative maintenance is conducted with the Clients preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for portable, semi fixed, mobile and fixed fire fighting and emergency equipment |
|
Conducting fire safety inspections and audits, complete with reports , recommendations to the attention of the Fire and Safety Supervisor on Clients and contractor facilities |
|
Attending/delegating standby duties for aircraft movements and refueling
|
|
Attending/delegating standby duties for any activities as required by the terms and procedures of the permit to work system |
|
Developing, planning and delivering HSE/fire fighting awareness courses for new and existing employees;
|
|
Conducting gas detection and gas monitoring schedules |
|
Conducting and scheduling training, drills and exercises to maintain competency level set by Client, widening the skill set of the fire team |
|
Protecting the health, safety and well being of all Clients employees an Contractors by assisting in providing a safe working environment |
