Job Description
Major Operator seeks to recruit a Completions Engineer with previous experience. This role is based in Aberdeen and is offered on a contract basis.
Reporting to the Completion Engineering Team Leader the Completion Engineer will be accountable for the engineering activity covering planning, program generation and execution of completion operations within the wells team.
Strong commitment to HSSE is essential, planning and executing of a completion well designs programme, you will prepare testing/completion programs including equipment specification and selection, flow modeling and stress analysis and you will prepare cost estimates and cost control for completion activities.
Awareness of new completions technologies, incorporation into designs and work programs, will evaluate execution and operational performance, ensure completion programs and program amendments are prepared on schedule and are adequately risk assessed, will liase with the sub-surface and the production team to ensure completion design is fit for purpose and will perform post-analyses and benchmarking studies, incorporating learnings into future completion programs.
A Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering discipline with proven experience as a Completion or Production Engineer including expertise in at least one of the following areas of completion design: fracture stimulation, open hole or cased hole sand control, completion equipment. Broad experience with the design and execution of completions for oil or gas wells for an operator or major service provider.
