Job Description
A leading OEM is currently seeking a Senior Product Manager to develop and execute a long-term product strategy, product plans, and new product introduction working with Procurement and R&D Engineering teams to deliver profitable growth to the company.
This will include:
• Establishing the vision and strategic plan for the assigned product segment
• Cooperating with our engineering and sales teams to create optimal solutions for developing wind turbines
• Driving the product portfolio to meet the needs of the market. Responsible for strategy and execution of the product roadmaps and New Product Introductions (NPI)
• Defining and leading appropriate market segmentation and positioning strategies for the assigned product segment
• Managing key business financial performance indicators, e.g. working on cost initiatives and developing new pricing strategies
• Establishing a process for measuring customer loyalty and net promoter score
• Interface within a multi-functional organisation while ensuring compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements
• Ensuring customer focus by communicating and building rapport with customers as required and ensuring their requirements are reflected in work processes
• Participate within the development and implementation of marketing concepts, cost/pricing strategies, budget and plans
• Lead development of product cross functionally (Engineering..)
• Ensure products and proposals are competitive by assessing competitor strengths/weaknesses
• Evaluate product positioning on a global basis using competitive benchmarking
• Establish and track related metrics
• Make cross-functional trade-offs to optimise product line Growth & Profitability
REQUIREMENTS
• Mandatory: Strong technical and/or commercial background in Wind Business – 5-10 years experience minimum
• Masters Degree in Engineering with commercial expertise or degree in Marketing/Business with high technical knowledge
• Proven analytical skill set and strategic mindset
• Solid process and program management skills
• Experience leading in matrix organisation
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
• Language: Excellent communication in English, with other European languages as a major advantage
The role will be based full-time in Germany and require some international travel. An excellent package is available.
