They are currently recruiting for the position of ABOTAS Upgrades Engineering Manager, based in Ankara, Turkey.
Job Description
- Ensuring that all necessary technical work (Appraise/Select) is completed to enable approval of the Project Define Gate
- Selecting the multidiscipline members of the Contractor Upgrade Engineering Team in accordance with GPO procedures and in consultation with the Turkey & EU Pipelines AGM
- Establish a cordial and professional relationship with the Contractor Engineering Team and its engineering contractors, and ensure each member of the Client Team is 'tagged' to a Contractor engineer
- In the period (up to Jun 2012) prior to activation of the GTA engage with Contractor under the TCA to agree the results of a Contractor network analysis, and a Contractor forward work programme
- After GTA activation monitor the technical performance of Contractor and its contractors/consultants developing an upgrades scope for a credible upgrading scheme, cost and schedule to be used in the proposed tariff model, ensuring that sufficient technical information is provided for an investment decision
- Give necessary approvals to Contractor plans, including selection of engineering contractors, environmental consultants and major suppliers
- Develop and maintain a register of technical issues, including where there is significant deviation from Group technical standards
- Manage the performance of the Contractor Upgrade Interface Team ensuring compliance with the allocated budget, planning the execution of the Team's work, and allocation of responsibilities to the 2 direct reports
- Preparing plans and budgets for executing the work in accordance with CVP stage requirements, and seeking the necessary approvals
- Manage third party contractors and consultants
- Representation at Project Partner meetings
- Compliance with Client Region policies, technical standards (where applicable) and procedures, and ensure staff do so
- Support to the Turkey & EU Pipelines AGM
- Support to other internal stakeholders
- Networking within Client Region to ensure use of 'best practice' and 'lessons learnt'
- Assessment, coaching and development of staff
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
