Job Description
Senior Consultant Power System Protection urgently required for a pivotal role with a Global, market leading Business Consultancy providing services to the Energy, Electrical Engineering and Utility industry in Netherlands and Internationally.
The successful candidate should have experience providing Power System Protection consultancy services to the Electricity Transmission and Distribution market working with Utilities, Governments and Industry. The Senior Consultant will be an essential part of the Substation Projects Team which works across the full project life cycle including planning, design review, projects execution and supervision for HV and MV projects.
This is not a hands on engineering role. It is essential that the Senior Consultant is able to identify potential customers, sell services related to protection and advise Clients rather than perform specific engineering tasks.
Experience in the following areas essential:
- Business development and sales.
- Advise customers and clients on the development of secondary systems (network protection, substation automation, SCADA, etc.) for specific projects or for company strategic policy
- Provide technical support to project teams on matters concerning the design, construction and operation of protection systems for substations and other power equipment
- Prepare or review specifications and basic designs for protection systems
- Carry out coordination studies for medium and high voltage systems
- Witnessing of FAT and SAT tests on protection devices and systems
- Carry out or participate in power failure investigations
- Set-up and perform training courses for customers
You will have responsibility for developing business opportunities, proposal development and project management/execution.
This is a Client facing and therefore advanced communication ability is essential as you will be representing my Client in the market place. Given the International nature of the role, fluency in English is also required.
Travel will be required both within Netherlands and internationally although you will need to be based in Netherlands. A university degree is essential ideally this would be a bachelor or master degree in Electrical Engineering.
