Cummins Energy Solutions Business NV located in Heverlee (Leuven) are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager.

OUTLINE OF JOB:

Cummins Energy Solutions Business NV located in Heverlee (Leuven) is a project based company that is specialized in turnkey projects related to Combined Heath & Power Installations. Reporting to the Operations Manager of Cummins ESB NV you will be responsible for the management of projects in Benelux, France and Germany related to the supply, integration and start-up of cogeneration plants in customer’s premises (horticulture, industrial sites, power plants, etc.).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordination of the project during the complete project life: from sales hand-over up to commissioning and start-up of the equipment in customer’s premises.
• Establish, update and follow-up of the overall project schedule in order to deliver on time.
• Control of cost: establish cost control reporting, approval according to Cummins policy, define and implement corrective actions related to overall project cost.
• Fulfil the role of first and main contact with the customer during the complete project development.
• Negotiate and establish service and supply contracts with vendors, contractors and partners in accordance with Cummins policy.
• In collaboration with the technical experts, define, correct and implement technical, organisational and Health, Safety and Environment related issues and measures in order to realize a project according to the specifications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Technical qualification: engineering degree preferably in electromechanics.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Experience with and knowledge of typical project management tools (such as Microsoft Project) and an ERP system (e.g. Oracle)
• Good knowledge of Dutch, English and French language, German is a plus
• Electrical: knowledge of Low Voltage and High Voltage systems
• Mechanical: knowledge of rotating machines
• Ability to collaborate and negotiate with contractors, partners and vendors
• Professional experience as project engineer or project manager in the field of power generation, cogeneration or similar industries
