Job Description
The Company:
Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions the transmission and distribution industry
The Role:
Reporting to the Tendering Manager, you will be required to assist in the management of the businesss Tenders and will take accountability for the commercial and financial aspects of those tenders whilst ensuring all company policies and procedures are maintained within strict guidelines.
Key Duties and responsibilities will include:
Preparing tender documentation including cost summary sheets, risk assessments and approval documentation.
Submitting completed proposals to meet customer deadlines.
Completing tender follow-up and negotiations.
Preparing tender documents including cost summary sheets, risk assessments and approval documentation.
Taking full ownership for the various projects assigned to you within the business streams including Rail, T&D, Power Generation and Alliance business streams.
Assisting with the delivery of the full T&D product portfolio for Substations within the UK.
Interfacing with the clients team with respect to commercial, contract administration, quantitative risk analysis, agreement of the risk register and contract agreement for Contracts and Work Bank Instructions.
Providing ongoing support to the customer by holding tender follow-up meetings including addressing TQ's, preparing presentations and carrying out contract negotiations.
Identifying client requirements and look to implement solid business solutions
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Commercial acumen.
Sound communication, presentation and negotiation skills
Be a self starter.
An ability to work under pressure and work on your own initiative.
MS Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering or working towards a recognised international qualification
Hold a Full and Valid Driving License
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have a strong background in Transmission & Distribution ideally with sound technical knowledge and commercial / contracting experience.
