Technical Assistant Reports To: Drilling Team Leader Purpose of Job: The Technical Assistant, reporting to the Drilling Team Leader, will have responsibility, as part of the drilling team, for support engineering services within the Well Engineering group. This will include work on both operated and non-operated assets. Principal Accountabilities: The Technical Assistant as part of Drilling team will be responsible for support of drilling engineering within the Well Engineering group. Particular emphasis on HSEQ performance and cost-effective delivery is expected. Accountable for performing all duties with due regard to the health, safety of self, others and of the environment in which they are undertaken. Responsible for monitoring and reporting well progress. Responsible for maintaining accurate histories of all operated wells. Responsible for supervision of allocated well engineering contracts. Key Tasks: Daily monitoring of progress in wells. Routine submission of drilling data to statutory authorities. Preparation and submission of well data for benchmarking studies. Input to the Drilling/Well Engineering Intranet site. Preparation of well consents applications. WellView Administrator. Submission of safety data such as man-hours, stop cards and recordable incident graphs at the end of each month. Qualifications & Experience: Ideally Degree qualified or appropriate work experience. Excellent command of written and spoken English. Power user of Microsoft Office software. Ability to work with Autocad and Microsoft Project will be preferable.
