Job Description
A leading subsea contractor urgently requires a senior contracts engineer to join its growing commercial deparment in Aberdeen. The aim of the role is to provide commercial and contractual assistant to Commercial and Operations departments working closely with Contracts Manager, Commercial Manager, Project Managers.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

Responsible for all commercial and contractual activities associated with project contract
administration, comprising:
• Ensure proper handover of all relevant commercial/contractual documents between
departments, set up and maintain project file(s).
• Ensure main contract document is executed and distributed.
• Commercial and contractual aspects of tendering, negotiating, awarding and managing all
subcontracts and major purchase orders. Interface with other departments to develop
scopes.
• Assisting with facilitating project bonds, guarantees and insurances required by main
contract and from all subcontractors.
• Providing all commercial and contractual advice to Project Teams.
• Liaison with other departments leading to preparation, negotiation and execution of all
Variation Orders with client.
• Compilation and preparation of invoices to client and management of the process ensuring
timely submission in accordance with contract provisions.
• Highlighting any major commercial or contractual risks or issues to the relevant
Commercial/Project Managers and work with them to ensure optimum solution.
• Project close out activities - ensuring receipt of completion certificates from client and
agreement of final account with client and all subcontractors.
• Assist Project with project cost analysis and input to company cost database.
• Assist Project with project cost analysis to support improvements in estimating and
business improvements in project teams.
