Job Description

Skills typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in business administration, commerce, quantity surveying, or similar discipline, or an equivalent level of work experience

Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral
Excellent negotiation skills
Ability to work as part of a team and supervise/support others
Uses initiative to prioritise key tasks and solve problems

Performs the full range of subcontract activities, from preparation of and evaluation of tenders, through subcontract negotiation and award, to post award administration and subcontract close out.
Accountable for delivery of subcontract tasks ensuring they are completed correctly and in a timely manner
Providing cover for the Subcontracts Manager as and when required
Reporting to the UK Subcontracts Manager and Operations Managers for the Duty Holder Projects with specific responsibility for:

Participation in contract strategy discussions
Making presentations to proposed suppliers
Review of proposed Suppliers' subsequent proposals
Preparation and review of subcontract documentation
Negotiate, draft and arrange for execution of Subcontracts

Evaluation of tenders
Issue of ‘Award' and ‘Regret' letters
Maintain the Subcontracts Register and maintaining the electronic and hard copy audit trails.
Commercially and Contractually Administer all Subcontracts
Participate and take the lead in pre and post award contractual and commercial meetings

Provide advice and guidance to the Procurement team
Negotiate, draft and arrange for the execution of various Contract Variations
Renegotiate existing Subcontracts to bring about cost reductions
Take the initiative in contractual and commercial disputes in order to gain/maintain a competitive edge for Wood Group/Client
Liaise with Client and Project representatives as required
Must comply with and adhere to all the HSE policies and procedures of the company.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent
