Our client is one of the world's most respected environmental and engineering consulting groups, with over 7000 employees and 160 office worldwide. Due to our global and national growth and exciting and demanding projects we have a position open in our Environmental Team in our Brisbane office.

You will provide expertise in the areas of contaminated site assessment and remediation. This is a leadership role to assist with the Group Manager with the senior leadership of projects and technical development of services provided.

Your project direction, peer review and technical coaching skills, coupled with your track record in business development are essential for this role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advanced technical oversight of investigation, assessment and remediation of a range of projects from large scale brownfield redevelopments to smaller contaminated sites
  • Strong client liaison capabilities and with a focus on service delivery
  • Business development, including establishing and maintaining clients, preparing successful proposals.
  • Knowledge of Queensland environmental legislation would be preferred, but not essential

The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor degree in environmental science, earth-science or engineering
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams
  • Good written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Local and regional travel within Queensland may be required in this role
  • Experience within Queensland and a working knowledge of Queensland Environmental legislation is preferred.
  • CPSS or DERM report preparer (as per Section 381 of the EP Act) would be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated project director experience within a consultancy environment would be an advantage
