You will have the following duties and responsibilities:

- Involved in the sampling and analysis of process fluids to ensure that an effective corrosion control programme is maintained.
- Ensuring that laboratory instrumentation is maintained, calibrated and available for use.
- Ensuring that company safety rules are adhered to with respect to laboratory safety systems.
- Involved in the early detection and diagnosis of faults on the company's distribution and transmission transformers.
- Occasional troubleshooting on running plant and assisting in managing departmental costs.

The following skills and experience are required:
- A degree/ HND in chemistry is desirable
- Experience in the power industry, oil, gas or water treatment is desirable.
- Good analytical, communication and problem solving skills.
