Reservoir Engineering Specialist – Libya (Calgary & Tripoli based)
Competitive Salary Benefits
Initially based in Calgary with ex-patriate move to Libya when political situation allows
Reporting to the Director – E&P Reservoir Engineering, you are evaluating two multi-billion barrel onshore conventional oil fields as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Requirements of Consideration:
•
Degree in Engineering, Applied Science or equivalent with 10 years of reservoir engineering experience
•
Technical expertise in reservoir engineering (reservoir simulation in particular in the Petrel RE / Eclipse / MEPO environment to history match water-floods, but also competence in pressure transient analysis, decline curve analysis, core and special core analysis, PVT fluid analysis, reserves determination, and field development)
•
Knowledge of production engineering, geology, geophysics, drilling, completions, production operations, and economics
Attributes:
•
Strong teamwork skills, and ability to be an effective member of a virtual team
•
Demonstrable skills and experience in cultural awareness and an ability to work within the diverse political/social/economic and geographic framework of the International business unit
•
The ability to teach and influence others (non-authoritative)
•
Ability to lead a project
Key Accountabilities:
•
Guide two junior/intermediate reservoir engineers in their dynamic modelling and evaluation efforts
•
Use the available data to characterize the field and estimate future performance using analytical tools
•
Create an FDP for two major field
