Reservoir Engineering Specialist, Stavanger

Based in Stavanger, and reporting to the Director - Reservoir Engineering, Exploration and Production (E&P) the Reservoir Engineering Specialist is responsible for providing technical leadership in reservoir engineering as part of our subsurface team in Stavanger.
Requirements for consideration:
•
Degree in Engineering, Applied Science or equivalent with 10 years of engineering experience
•
Technical expertise in reservoir engineering -
reservoir simulation and development planning in particular, but also competence in pressure transient analysis, decline curve analysis, core and special core analysis, PVT fluid analysis, reserves determination, and field development)
•
Knowledge of production engineering, geology, geophysics, drilling, completions, production operations, and economics
•
We use Saphir, Prosper/GAP/MBAL, Petrel RE/Eclipse,/MEPO as our standard tool suite
Key Accountabilities:
•
Lead reservoir engineer in Stavanger, and hire one more junior RE to support the activities of our Norway office
•
Design the data capture in the delineation program, and evaluate the exploration and delineation results as they become available as part of an integrated asset team
•
Advance two significant new discoveries through Phase 2 delineation in 2012
•
Engage with partners in technical meetings to represent the companies RE viewpoints
•
Undertake independent technical work with support from the Calgary head office in areas such as PTA, simulation, core and fluid analysis
•
This role reports takes day-to-day direction from the Sub-surface Manager in Stavanger
