Opportunity to join a leading Oil & Gas Operator based in London on a Staff basis.About the Client Our client is one of the world's largest energy companies, providing its customers with fuel for transportation, energy for heat and light, retail services and petrochemicals products for everyday items. Role Description:The successful candidate will have experience in or exposure to classical reservoir engineering methods, production forecasting, economics, commercial awareness, reservoir fluid & rock characterization, uncertainty analysis, reserves evaluation and experience in reservoir simulation. Role Responsibilities:Completing subsurface evaluations for leads and prospects including:Asset potential assessment including PVT, SCAL, Pressure/Production data review. Working with the geoscientists/petrophysicists to understand reservoir characterisation.Reviewing analogue data to help quantify reservoir deliverability and recover factors.Working with the geoscientist to develop in place volumes, production forecasts and potential reserves potential, including using analytical and simulation methods depending on data and time available.Working with the drilling and facilities engineers to model appropriate development plans for economic analysis.Within simulation models incorporate the full range of static and dynamic uncertainties to bracket production rates, recoveries and development options (through use of ENABLE or other).Highlighting associated technical uncertainties, risks, and potential upsides.Take an active role in preparing field development plans, including documentation and presentation of those plans to Hess management as appropriate.Provide reservoir engineering input to progress investment proposals. Supporting reservoir engineering analysis should account for static and dynamic uncertainties, and show consideration of alternative development solutions.Participate in the annual reserves process, including allocating current and future volumes using the Hess P1-P6 system.Provide mentoring and coaching to less-experienced reservoir engineers with emphasis on the application of reservoir simulation. Experience Required:12-15 years experienceEngineering DegreeBroad global industry experience is requiredExperience of the following would be desirable - Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), economic software (PEEP), Monte Carlo software (Crystal Ball) and engineering software (for example: Eclipse, ENABLE, Prosper, MBal, GAP, PVTSIM or PVTi, Kappa, Sapphir, Topaz, Diamante, PI Process Book, OFM and GIC).
