Job Description
Platform Project Manager Urgently needed for an HVDC link Construction project, working for a market leading Energy and Power EPC.

The project involves the construction of an HVDC link between an offshore windfarm and the German grid. The successful candidate should have experience in managing large projects in the Energy and Power Sector.

The ideal candidate will have experience with management functions, planning and construction of offshore substations in accordance with international standards. You will have management responsibility for several project teams, reporting and controlling of reports in return for the overall project management.

Key Experience and responsibilities:

- Experience in project management or the senior management level
- Experience in the construction and start up and operation of offshore platforms
- Experience in installing and commissioning the plant, preferably in shipbuilding and electro-technical sector
- Monitoring and verification of deliveries and services to be provided under the contract (Platform)
- Ensuring overall management of the platform is cost-effective project manager authorised to make decisions for the project
- Operational planning and control of construction and full commissioning responsibility to handover to the client
- Responsibility for the achievement of tangible, schedule and cost objectives within the planning and construction

A Completed technical / economic university degree or equivalent preferably with Schiffbaulichem / Marine Technology is a distinct advantage.

Further requirements:

• Ability to lead structured and team-building, as well as flexible and resilient
• Fluent in spoken and written English and German
• Strong awareness of quality
• Strong awareness of HSE
• Claim and Risk Management, Contracts and Quality Management
• Structured, independent and focused approach, binding and confident manner
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards DNV, NORSOK, GL, etc.
• Stand for long periods of off-shore - Stays

Additional Advantages

• Planning and organisation of all construction and commissioning activities in the yard or even off-shore, including preparation and implementation of off-shore logistics.
• Assessing and evaluating the current situation of the construction schedule, coordination and alignment of partners involved in the construction and equipment companies such as shipyard, establishment of the construction program, including scheduling.
• Assessment and evaluation of the situation in the labor and environmental protection and establishment of measures and their implementation / enforcement on the ground.

The contract duration is 18 months and the start date is ASAP.
