Job Description

Our client is looking to recruit a Brownfield Projects Manager. Working within a multi-disciplinary team and reporting directly to and supporting the Area managers the Brownfield Projects Manager will act as the functional manger for all on asset projects, across all Operating Assets. The Brownfield Projects Manager will maintain an optimally resourced Project Management and Engineering team to support the assets and manage the company project management processes and contractors used in support of the overall business delivery.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Provides leadership and direction to the team and ensures that all projects/modifications achieve fit for purpose solutions in a safe, environmentally sound, cost-effective, and timely manner.

Ensures technical compliance of all modifications against Industry and Company legislation, standards, specifications and the asset written scheme of examination.

Acts as process owner for the Project Management Process.

Ensure the engineering change process is robust, controlled and in compliance with LBL/PFM procedures.

Acts as Contract owner for the Engineering and Construction contract.

Manages the nominated engineering subcontractor(s) and any other specialist or specific contract utilised for delivering the planned programme of work.

Works closely with the Area Manager to plan, develop and implement the asset strategy.

Co-ordinates the development and modification of project models and plans and the preparation of final project scopes/definitions and AFEs.

Ensures project teams (company and contactor) deliver projects to agreed plans in terms of cost, schedule and performance and that interfaces are clearly aligned at all phases of the project to secure effective handover to Operations teams.

Provides input to the preparation of budgets, as appropriate.

Takes a lead role in the tendering and selection process relating to the award of relevant services and engineering contracts.

Makes visits offshore to enhance onshore-offshore relationships/communications, etc.

May be required to participate in the duty rota for emergencies & incidents.

EXPERIENCE

Essential:

Can demonstrate significant experience in an engineering or technical role at a senior level

Considerable experience in project management.

High level knowledge of offshore operations and infrastructure

Proven track record of successfully leading/managing technical teams

Proven ability to effectively manage contracts and ensure contractor delivery

Sound knowledge of HSE/regulatory requirements relating to UK offshore operations

High level of commercial awareness with clear understanding of project financing/cost control principles

Proven ability to work effectively with senior management and influence/challenge senior management

Up to date knowledge of project management techniques/systems, technological developments, industry initiatives, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

Candidates must be qualified to Degree Level in Engineering or related science/technology fields

Project Management Certification

Must be able to demonstrate continuing personal and professional development

Can articulate learning and training experiences

Desirable:

Current offshore survival, medical and MIST certification.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent
