Reporting Accountant job in UK
Please be advised we have a new requirement for a Reporting Accountant to work in our Finance Department commencing the end of February/beginning of March 2012. This requirement is a permanent position and will be initially covering an employee’s Maternity leave. However, this will then transfer into a similar role that encompasses some of the duties below as well as supplementary ones.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Contract Review – determine whether they are upheld in line with the written agreement. Follow up and report where necessary.
• Specific Contract Areas;
o Charter Contracts
o Supplier Contracts
• Specific areas of focus;
o Rebilling process and subsequent credit control procedures
o Personnel & Payroll
o Travel & Transportation
o Repairs and Maintenance
o Purchasing process; Internal Guidelines vs. Actual Process
• Analysis and suggestions for rationalisation and cost savings.
• Long Term Forecast Build and Presentation.
• Rig and Associated Drilling Investment Analysis.
• Ad hoc presentations to various parties, both internal and external.
• Financial Accounting;
o Group Consolidations
o Quarterly/Monthly Reporting
o Forecasting and Budgeting
Health & Safety
Demonstrate commitment to the Company’s safety policies through leadership and guidance.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for a newly qualified candidate who has built up work experience, and that is now looking to take a step into this particular industry. However, we would consider candidates with drilling industry experience as preferential.
We require candidates with knowledge of UK tax and statutory accounting. Please note this role will be focusing on Corporate tax, and not Personal tax.
