Process Engineer Job description Achieving accident and incident free performance Working with a team of Process Engineers Advising and guiding design contractors on all aspects of process design Ensuring adequate quality assurance of all deliverables Keeping the agreed schedule for all deliverables Communicating effectively with peers, colleagues, contractors and customers Integrating project management, engineering and operational aspects of the project Communication with project team members and engineering contractors Ensuring high quality standards under tight schedule constraints Effectively managing a high workload and maintaining a balanced lifestyle Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering 5 to 25 years experience in design and operations of Thermal plants (either SAGD or Cyclic Steam) Familiar with design of oilfield processes and processing equipment such as treaters, steam generators, heat exchangers, water treatment, energy optimization, and multiphase pipelines Experience with commissioning and start-up, project coordination or project engineering is an asset Working knowledge of Alberta regulatory entities (e.g ERCB, AENV, ABSA etc.) and industry codes and standards (e.g. API, ASME, NACE, etc.) is an asset Experienced in the development of technical standards and specifications Knowledgeable in safety design, principles of process controls, and sour gas sweetening Familiar with conditions specific to a Northern climate and a muskeg environment Good understanding of work processes within very large projects
