Job Description
A highly successful engineering design and manufacturer is looking for a Design Engineer to join their expanding Engineering Team.
Job Purpose
As Design Engineer, responsible to the Design Team Leader for provision of engineering service and expertise to both internal and external clients. This will involve design, calculations, FEA and drawings.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create designs in support of the company’s projects
Provide design verification services (FEA, hand calculations) in support of the company’s projects and products
Create designs and drawings for manufacture, client review, quotation, in-house marketing, etc as required
JOB KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Mechanical Engineering degree or HNC/HND in mechanical engineering
Minimum 3 years experience in mechanical engineering environment including working to designated standards and material selection
Experienced in modelling and drafting using Solidworks
Familiar with Autocad 2D drafting
Experienced in preparation of FEA using Ansys software
Able to verify designs by hand calculations using Mathcad
