Pipe Support Designer - Cairo
Minimum 5 years experience.
Piping Support/Hanger Design Engineer (Graduate as Civil/Mechanical Engineer)
Good understanding of different types of Fossil Power Generation Plants
Basic knowledge of any of Micro Station, PDS, PDMS or Auto Cad Programs. Micro station is preferable.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Good understanding of and be familiar with industry standards and codes, especially ASME B31.1 Code (Power Piping Code) and Piping Supports requirements in different systems.
Ability to design and perform calculations for designing and selection of the most proper support type to suit piping layout design conditions.
Understanding different types of piping support devices (Variable Spring Supports, Constant Force Supports, Sway Strut Supports, Snubbers Supports, Sway Bracing Supports, etc.).
Ability to understand different type of piping stress analysis program reports to interprets the support load cases and reactions to physical support design and modeling in 3D environment programs.
Good understanding of piping supports design sketching and drafting tools, and performing the design in 2D drawings.
Be able to design complex Structure frames for using with piping supports components, including welding design and selection of proper weld type to suit each connection conditions.
Able to support Construction and Startup team at job site at any time, including staying at job site if the case required longer time to support, advice, and resolve any raised problems within his DOR. This may require to work under pressure for longer times in a non-comfortable conditions during the Walk Down process.
