COMMERCIAL ADVISOR

Basic Function and Scope:

  • To administer the Commercial Agreements of the Company.
  • To provide advice and guidance on all Commercial contracts including their implementation and interpretation.
  • Main interface with Users.
  • To advise and monitor Regulation changes including being a Key representative in working groups.
  • Responsible for ensuring Commercial team compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations
  • To identify and develop new business opportunities. Obtaining market intelligence with respect to market opportunities, business development and taking responsibility for all follow-up actions required.

    Tasks and Duties:
  • Administers the Company’s Commercial Agreements.
  • Develops and maintains the Company’s Implementation Procedures for all Commercial Agreements/Contracts.
  • Sign up Additional Users
  • interfacing with Ofgem.
  • Advise and monitor Regulation changes
  • Key representative in GIE & GLE forum.
  • Lobbying and liaising with UK and European terminals
  • Responsible for ensuring Commercial team compliance with
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Undertakes similar or related duties as directed by Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA degree in Business Administration/Engineering.
  • Good, relevant (contract/regulatory) industry experience gained working in large multi-national organizations of which some experience must have been gained operating at a senior level.
  • Excellent understanding of the UK gas market and its participants
  • Understanding of the UK and EU regulatory framework
  • International experience preferred. Broad understanding of regional business climates and communities.
  • Very good written and spoken English language skills.
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills

Operating Environment:

Responsible for administrating the Terminal’s Commercial Agreements.
