OUR CLIENT IS NOT ABLE TO OFFER SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS SPECIFIC POSITION AT THIS TIME ****Our client is looking to recruit a Workshop Electrician to ensure the correct and timely application of planned maintenance. To contribute to maintenance cycles continuous improvement in order to guarantee the technical and economic efficiency of assets utilisation, in conformity with Quality, Health, Safety and Environment standards.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure Warehouse/Workshop/Yard area area is kept clean and tidy.
· Ensure Yard equipment is stored tidily and safe.
· Ensure ROV equipment is clean and tidy which will include painting (i.e. containers, winches and any other pertinent equipment).
· Assist with inventory checks carried out on ROV Systems, which may include updating ROV reporting system on computer.
· Assist with labouring duties for Base Technicians.
· Assist with urgent driving duties for the Workshop.
· Assist with Forklift duties as part of maintaining work areas tidy.
· Adhere to the Company's Operating Policies, Safety/Quality Manuals and Procedures.
· Adhere to the Company's Quality and Safety Policy and Procedures in everyday activities.
· Conduct all activities within the Integrated Management System Policy, Procedures and Work Instructions.
· Provide electronic/electrical support for ROV Systems, auxiliary equipment (cameras, sonars) and tooling packages.
· Develop and maintain a functional Electronic/Electrical workshop.
· Develop test procedures and equipment for Electronic/Electrical underwater systems.
· Repair and maintain electronic and electrical equipment.
· Receipt inspection of electronic and electrical equipment as required.
· Adapt, modify and upgrade electronic equipment as required.
· Assist the Workshop Manager in all maintenance and repair activities as required to maintain the Company's assets in full operational mode.
· Conduct refurbishment, maintenance and repairs on all relevant equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Industry training in Engineering, Electrical, Hydraulic disciplines and time-served.
· Previous experience in a similar environment.
· ONC level or Industry education and/or training in Engineering, Electronic, Electrical disciplines and time-served.
· Be conversant with the relevant Contract, Workscope, Project Manual and all applicable legislation at the worksite.
Specific equipment experience in:
· ROV and Underwater Systems;
· Safe Use of Overhead Gantry Crane;
· Safe Use of Forklifts;
· Other Relevant Certificates.
