Department: EP Onshore Project

Location: Eskene West Kazakhstan

Reports to: Senior Field Superintendent

Purpose:

To conduct construction functions, for all HVAC activities in OGS, as related to the construction contractors operations, to engineering designs and revises and to assure the availability of all required materials punctually . Required to achieve the targets established in the projects detailed construction schedule, to not effect any delay or constraint for the completion of other tasks.

Duties also includes leading his subordinates (HVAC supervisors) to assure a proper and full supervision for all activities step by step.

To efficiently supervise and coordinate all the onshore HVAC engineering site activities with the objective to support the Site Construction Manager.

To ensure the timely completion of Site engineering activities to the specify HVAC standards and specifications.

To ensure that during construction and mechanical completion of on-shore plant, all aspects related to engineering have been included and coordinated with the other area of the project.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

· Assess content of client/partner construction drawings and procedures in order that construction execution is optimized in the most cost effective and timely manner. Further to assure the availability of the valid for construction drawings in order to not jeopardise the sequence of the construction activities as scheduled.

· Ensure that all HVAC work is performed in accordance with the applicable Quality Procedures and Work Procedures and that Project Quality Plan requirements are achieved.

· Monitor the execution of the HVAC systems work being undertaken in a way to ensure full compliance with all relevant standards, e.g., Contract documents, specifications, method statements, policies and procedures.

· Provide a technical advice and guidance for engineering in the event of any TQs (technical queries) and SQs (site queries) raised by contractors, and to ensure that appropriate disposition or response are replied in a way to not compromise or expose Client to unnecessary extra charge.

· To support the Head of Engineering Integrity in recommending the approval/refusal of the payments milestones claimed by Construction Contractors according to the provisions of the contract.

· To supervise SATs and pre-commissioning tests to establish the acceptability of the plans according to the contract requirements.

· To verify the completeness and correctness of the as built drawings and manage the final project documentation and ensure the complete handover to the companys operation.

· To ensure the development of local capabilities and provide on-job training of the assigned resources

HSE Responsibilities:

· Demonstrate a positive and pro-active commitment to HSE through the personal application of safety critical behaviors;

· Compliance with Republic of Kazakhstan Statutory HSE Regulations, Codes and Standards;

· Applying the companys HSE Policies & Management System Requirements;

· Supporting/ Participating in Emergency Drills and Exercises as required;

· Reporting all Accidents/ Incidents and Unsafe Acts/ Conditions in a timely manner.

Main Interfaces:

· Liaise with the Project Management Service Contractors;

· Liaise with EPC/EP contractors, suppliers and consultants as required;

· Liaise with project PRC group and technical staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

The job holder must have

· Degree in an engineering discipline (or equivalent)

· Minimum 10 years industry experience.

· Minimum 3 years in Superintendent technical role.

Required Competencies:

The job holder must have proven:

· Proven professional competences acquired in performing/supervising engineering in OGS Projects.;

· Good technical, communication and working skills.

· Proactive approach to decision making and strong team work motivation;

· Proven organizational ability in multi-interface and technically demanding Project.

Ability to work with and coach local staff ;

Working Conditions:

· Based in Eskene West

· Possible visits to EPC/EP contractors home offices

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree Hons or equivalent
