Telecommunication Engineer

Location: Atyrau, KZ
Rotation: Resident (5/2 days)
Duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
The job holder is responsible for:
· Selecting the best technical/economical solutions and products for telecommunications equipment for onshore and offshore facilities
· Telecommunication equipment overall design integrity and compliance with international standards, company guidelines and engineering best practice
· Telecommunication equipment concept and engineering design
· Preparing ITT documentation and bid technical review for Telecommunication equipment
· Reviewing Contractors Telecommunication design
Reports to the Telecommunication Project Engineer.
Qualifications & Experience:
Under general supervision, independently applies advanced engineering techniques, makes decisions on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions or to negotiate with key engineers and officials of other organizations. Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers and is consulted extensively by associates and others with a high degree of reliance placed on scientific interpretations and advice. Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years related experience. At this level, individuals will have demonstrated creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving engineering problems efficiently and economically. Requires the use of advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of the field and related disciplines. May be responsible for leadership of some areas of the project and will be accountable for performance and adherence to budget and schedule within these areas. Incumbents at this level will usually hold a certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer.
Required Competencies:
Engineering or telecommunication degree and not less than 10 years of working experience in Oil and Gas Industry and not less than 10 years of experience in telecommunication engineering.
The job holder must have proven:
Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of Telecom Systems.
Ability to resolve highly complex technical issues involving several parties in a professional manner.
Very good oral and written communication skills.
Capable of giving clear instructions and following up their implementation.
Ability to think independently while following established project guidelines.
Ability and willingness to work within an extended team atmosphere.
An understanding of RoK Regulatory approval and Licensing procedures is preferred
Previous work experience in Kazakhstan/Russia would be an advantage
