Job Description
Technical Support Manager

We are a leading supplier of speciality base oils and fluids throughout EMEA. We trade high quality base oils.

We are looking for a Technical Support Manager who will be a key member of the management team and critical to the success of the company's future growth strategy.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities...

Responsible for the quality of the product portfolio. This includes establishing the formulations for operations to blend products.
Screening potential raw materials for their suitability in our product range and suggesting alternative uses/applications for current feedstocks.
Responsible for all regulatory affairs, including product and feedstock specifications and MSDS's, ensuring they are fully compliant with current legislation and directives. This may include REACh depending on the applicant's experience.
Providing front-line support to the Marketing team both internally and externally with customers, assisting with business development projects and handling technical enquiries related to the companies product range.
Working with test laboratories to provide necessary technical data required to support existing business and/or the development projects.
Maintaining an overview of all legislation changes impacting the business and briefing the management team.

The successful candidate must have a QC/QA laboratory background with a minimum of 5 years technical experience in the lubricants/oil or chemical sector. Given there could be significant interface with customers, the candidate must possess excellent inter-personal skills and have the confidence to represent us externally including Industry meetings.
The role reports to the Director of Marketing and Development and will be office based (central London).
