Following a major investment in 2008 by a specialist OG fund, this rapidly expanding business with an international client base offers a unique opportunity to work in a challenging role in one of fastest growing businesses within the oilfield products sector.

Guardian is located in Pyle, in a brand new, purpose built facility close to the modern cities of Cardiff and Swansea and a short drive from the beautiful Brecon Beacons, Cambrian Mountains and the Welsh Heritage Coast.

The Role

The role is to act as a key technical sales interface for the business with clients located throughout the UK and abroad. The position is focussed very much on offering technical assistance and advice to clients concerning issues they need Guardian to provide a solution for. With this in mind you will perform the following duties:

• Interface with the technical department of the company to create and present solutions to clients
• Generating quotes to put a financial figure on the solutions suggested
• Internally co-ordinate with teams on actions required to generate proposals for clients
• Be the centre point of all communication with clients during the proposals and after sales stage of the process
• Feedback to clients on progress and issues raised during the manufacturing process
• Implementation of the company sales plan to grow and develop the business over the next 4 years.

The Person

To be suitable for the position you should have some experience working in the data logging sector either running production logging tools or perforating on electric line or slickline.

Considering the above you could be from the following background:

• Working offshore as a data logging engineer in an offshore environment with a view to moving into an onshore role
• Working in a similar role within other oilfield products including explosives, PLT equipment or completions
• Working in a sales role at the moment selling the oilfield products indicated above
• Relevant job titles include: Mud Engineer, LWD Engineer, MWD Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Logging Operator or Mud Logger.
