Job Description
Our Client has a vacancy for a Systems Engineer - Controls based in Aberdeen. This is a permanent position.
As Systems Engineer - Controls, your responsibilities will include the following:
Assist senior systems application engineers with the provision of technical authority for the system design on projects
Ensure that each of the technical areas communicate appropriately to ensure the timely execution of the project.
Ensure that all changes made in the later stages of a project are properly reviewed and controlled.
Systems application engineers may have to represent the organisation at seminars, conferences and with clients.
Review technical requirements of tender enquiries and propose optimum subsea control system to suit.
Prepare technical offer for inclusion in bid.
Prepare responses to bid clarifications from clients, co-ordinating the input of others as required.
Attend bid clarification meetings, assisting senior systems application engineers with responses to technical queries raised.
Perform and manage study work received by the department.
Assist senior system application engineers with provision of design authority for projects
To provide control of changes through the course of the project
Ensure that the Project Execution Model Execution part is correctly utilised on projects.
Additionally, when workload demands, the job holder may be assigned other duties as defined by the Supervisor
Qualifications and experience required for this position:
Degree/HND/HNC in related discipline or equivalent.
Knowledge of specialist area of subsea control systems.
Understanding of mechanical/hydraulic and/or electrical systems.
