Job Description
CCL cclglobal.com has been requested by a major international oil company to provide a Subsea Controls Engineer. In this role will work closely with MPP Engineering MPP Power Control Umbilical and VSD Engineering. Will be responsible for supervision of contractors work related to topside Variable Speed Drives VSD Power Control Umbilical power flow analysis MPP electrical equipment sizing & operational requirements. Also supervision of engineering procurement fabrication testing delivery FPSO integration and commissioning. Resident in Norway under 1 year renewable contract. Frequent travel internationally to visit subcontractor and vendor facilities. Excellent rate / T&Cs.
Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering / equivalent / experience. Knowledge of rules & regulations related to marine systems. Clear commitment to QA and HSE. Effective team player & communicator skilled at working in multicultural environments. Fluent written & spoken English. Must be eligible to live & work in Norway. Ideal candidate would be a Norwegian resident.
Min. 5 years of experience working on major Oil & Gas projects with excellent technical & practical knowledge of Variable Speed Drive VSD Power & Control Umbilical Subsea Motors and Subsea High Voltage Connectors in terms of design procurement fabrication testing and installation activities. Will participate in interface work with other packages / disciplines FPSO SURF and Field Operations as well as other related SPS disciplines such as Production Control System. Will contribute during FPSO Integration Offshore Installation Umbilical and Commissioning. Must have experience of subsea rotating machinery.
