THE ROLE Reporting to Site Commercial Manager Management and administration of key project subcontract packages (post award) The creation, execution and delivery of project specific subcontract strategies. The ability to build, develop and maintain relationships within a multi discipline team environment covering site and office based construction, HSE,engineering, commercial and project management staff. The management of negotiations with subcontractors to price additional scope items and emergent scope,mitigating commercial risk to the Project. Miscellaneous engagement of subcontractors to accomodate minor emergent scope items as required. Regular reporting and forecasting through site commercial and functional reporting structures. Attendance as off-site meetings with remote stakeholders and subcontractors SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS ONC (or equivalent), Business Studies, Economics, Office Administration QS qualifications or proven experience in project quantity surveying Relevant HNC/Degree qualification (preferred) Must have steelwork erection experience Site based experience. Experience of working in a subcontract function or Snr Qs role in a construction environment within the power generation, construction or process industrial sectors. Good document management skills, the ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors and a working knowledge of subcontract formulation, administration processes and best practice.
