Job Description
Our client offers world-class services enhancing the safety, integrity, reliability and performance of our clients' assets in the oil & gas industry. They develop and deliver innovative solutions throughout the asset lifecycle from conceptual design to asset decommissioning; provide a challenging, diverse and rewarding environment for their employees. They are now looking to fill the following role -

STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY ASSET MANAGER (Staff/Contract, Berkshire)

The successful candidate will work within the expanding structural integrity management (SIM) team, which is one of two SIM Competency Centres worldwide within the group. The team has built up an industry wide reputation for this type of work and it has a wide range of SIM work, including several long term SIM contracts with major international oil and gas companies. Most of their work relates to fixed platforms but the team is becoming increasingly involved in the SIM of semi-submersibles.

Role Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of one of the SIM teams contracts with responsibility for client management, quality of deliverables, adherence to schedule, commercial performance and building of a strong client relationship through reliable delivery. In addition, the successful candidate can look forward to supporting the business development activities to further grow the group. These may include the presentation of technical papers, meeting potential new clients and supporting the preparation of bids and proposals.

Person Specification
To be successful in this role and our SIM business, you will need to demonstrate the following qualification, professional expertise and personal attributes:-

Technical / Professional Expertise.
BSc in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Chartered Engineer.

Competency Requirements:.
The use of structural analysis software (e.g. ASAS, SACS, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SESAM, USFOS) for linear and nonlinear global analysis and detailed analysis of structural components.
Proven record in structural design and analysis of offshore structures with detailed knowledge of design codes.
Experience resolving demanding technical problems to demonstrate structural integrity.
Experience of structural integrity management of existing structures involving structural reassessment, jackets and topsides (risk based) inspection planning, methods of inspection and inspection procedures.
Experience of repairs and strengthening for offshore structures.
