Our Client has a vacancy for a Structural Engineer, Deck Construction/Fabrication. This is a contract position, based in Azerbaijan.
Responsibilities:
Promoting project HSE objectives.
Review of design documents.
Review and approval of yard upgrade procedures.
Participate in task risk assessment meetings.
Responding to engineering site queries, where applicable.
Expediting site query response from design office, where applicable.
Providing engineering assistance to the construction contractor for resolution of issues.
Witnessing and approving site acceptance tests.
Attending Mechanical Completion walk-downs on behalf of the company.
Review and acceptance of contractor procedures for fabrication assembly, erection and load out of the Topside structure.
Monitor contractor performance and highlight any concerns to line manager.
Attending project meetings as required.
Compilation of reports as required.
Experience:
Significant experience on Oil and Gas Construction involving:-
Experience of temporary works design.
Familiarity with International Standards which form the basis for project specifications e.g. API, ASME, EEMUA, ISO.
Familiarity with the Production Methods and Welding Technology as used in the Offshore Fabrication Industry and NDE methods applied to ensure quality standards are met.
Experience of rigging methods and equipment. (Heavy lift experience would be most useful).
Experience of Task Risk Assessment, HAZID, BP-PTW.
Skills:
Competent in communicating in English language.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Good inter-personal skills.
Ability to produce written reports.
Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and Autocad.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
