Role: Structural Draughtsman/Designer Location: Darlington Duration: 8 Weeks Rate: Neg Our client is a subsea contractor based in North East of England UK specialising in: Trenching of subsea pipelines flowlines and cables. Our client has a modern comprehensive state of the art trenching fleet able to operate in all soil conditions and all water depths. Installation of subsea cables umbilicals ISUs power and telecommunications and flexible flowlines in deep and ultra deep water. The Role Our client is looking for an experienced structural draughtsman / designer to work on an initial 6 month contract based at their Darlington office. Duties To provide technical support to Commercial and Projects Departments both for tenders/new refurbished marine equipment including: Design and engineering of special or modified equipment Production of drawings renderings and animations in support of capability Presentations to clients and others Investigation of load cases to ensure safe ship operations Production of drawings of deck spreads for specialists operations Produce field layout drawings showing subsea facilities to be installed by the client Essential Skills/Qualifications Qualified to ONC level in civil / structural engineering. Proficient use of AutoCAD Packages. Previous experience in civil / structural draughtsman role. Desirable Skills/Qualifications Qualified to HNC level in civil / structural engineering. Previous experience in marine projects would be desirable but not essential.
